Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about public adjusters, Florida claims, and working with Adjusterman.
What does a public adjuster do?
A public adjuster is a licensed professional claims handler who represents you — the policyholder — in your insurance claim, not the insurance company. Licensed public adjusters must prove competency through written examination, experience requirements, and background checks. Adjusterman saves you time and money by using professional estimating software to independently evaluate your loss, gathering the detailed documentation a claim requires, and negotiating the settlement of your loss or damage on your behalf.
When do you need a public adjuster?
There is no wrong time to request assistance from a public adjuster. Very often a public adjuster like Adjusterman will find that the insurance company’s loss estimate is far too low. Whether your claim is brand new, has been underpaid, is being delayed, or was denied outright, Adjusterman can help you make the most out of your claim.
How can I file a claim with Adjusterman?
Adjusterman makes filing your claim easy. Use our claim submission form or call us at 954-588-2160. We’ll ask for details such as the claim type, your availability, and a brief description of the issue to get your claim moving. Once you’ve submitted your claim, Adjusterman will work with you to save your time and money.
What types of claims can you handle?
Adjusterman is no stranger to difficult situations, handling everything from fire damage to hurricanes, water damage to business interruption, and more. Our claim types include: Fire Claims, Business Interruption Claims, Hurricane Claims, Commercial Claims, Exotic & Luxury Car Claims, Homeowners Claims, Marine Claims, Mold Claims, Water Damage Claims, Broken Pipe Claims, and Cast Iron Pipe Claims. Don’t see what you need? Send us a brief description of your situation and one of Adjusterman’s trusted team members will reach out.
What do I do if I have a question about my claim?
If you have a question about your claim, come to us. Adjusterman and his team will give you the help you need in understanding your claim. You can reach us by calling our main number at 954-588-2160 or by emailing documents@adjustermanllc.com.
Where is Adjusterman located?
While Adjusterman takes to the skies to help those in need across all of Florida, our headquarters and team can be found in Southeast Florida at 1682 N.E. 33rd St., Suite #1, in Oakland Park (Broward County). Call us, write to us, or knock on our door — we are here to help.
How much does a public adjuster cost?
Adjusterman works on a contingency basis — a percentage of the settlement we recover for you. There is no upfront cost, and if we do not recover on your claim, you do not owe a fee. We explain the exact terms before you sign anything.
Will hiring a public adjuster raise my insurance rates?
No. Hiring a public adjuster does not affect your premium. Your rates are driven by your claims history and broader market factors. Our role is simply to make sure a claim you are already entitled to gets paid in full.
Can you help if my claim was already denied?
Yes. A denial is not the end of the road. We can review the denial, request your full claim file, and re-open the loss with the documentation it needed the first time. Many of our best recoveries start as denials or lowball offers.
What areas of Florida do you serve?
Adjusterman represents property owners statewide — from Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach across the Gulf Coast to Fort Myers, Naples, Sarasota, and Tampa, and up through Orlando and Central Florida. If your property is in Florida, we can help.
What makes Adjusterman different from other public adjusters?
We combine relentless advocacy with real technology: FAA-licensed drones for roof and aerial documentation, thermal cameras to find hidden moisture and damage, and 3D interior capture. That evidence lets us prove the full scope and value of a loss that a desk adjuster would never see.
How long do I have to file a property claim in Florida?
For hurricane and windstorm losses, Florida law generally allows one year from the date of loss to file a new claim and eighteen months for a supplemental claim. Other perils have their own deadlines under your policy. Because timelines are strict, it is best to have your damage documented as early as possible.
