What to have ready
- The type of claim and roughly when the damage happened
- Photos or video of the damage, if you have them
- Your insurance carrier and policy number, if handy
- Any letters or estimates you’ve received from the insurer
FL DFS License #P151443. No recovery, no fee.
What happens after you submit
- We call you back, usually the same day. A licensed adjuster, not a call center. The first conversation is about what happened and what your policy says, and it takes about fifteen minutes.
- We read your declarations page. If you have it, send it. It answers most of the questions that decide whether a claim is worth bringing: your limits, your deductible, whether your coverage is replacement cost or actual cash value, and what is sublimited or excluded.
- We inspect the property, free. On site, at your convenience, anywhere in Florida. Drone, thermal and 3D capture where the loss calls for it.
- You decide. If there is a claim worth pursuing, we will tell you what we think it is worth and what we would do. If there is not, we will tell you that instead, and you will owe us nothing either way.
Losses we take on
Adjusterman handles the full range of Florida property losses, and also several categories most public adjusting firms do not touch:
- Residential, from single-family homes to income property and multi-unit buildings.
- Commercial, including retail and shopping centers, hotels and hospitality, office buildings, and industrial and warehouse property.
- Condominium, HOA and community associations, where the association policy and the unit owner policy have to be read against the declaration before anyone knows which one pays.
- Marine, aviation and high-value automobile, which are written on their own forms with agreed-value and survey provisions that behave nothing like a property policy.
Common perils: hurricane and windstorm, fire and smoke, water damage and escape of water, broken and cast iron pipe failures, mold, impact, vandalism and theft, sinkhole, and business interruption following any of them.
It is worth calling even if you think it is too late
Three situations we are asked about constantly, and none of them is automatically a dead end:
- Your claim was already paid and closed. Paid is not the same as paid correctly. Supplemental and reopened claims are a normal part of Florida property insurance, and a large share of our recoveries come from files an owner believed were finished.
- Your claim was denied. A denial letter is the carrier’s position, not a determination. Many denials rest on a cause-of-loss opinion formed without the testing or documentation that would have settled the question.
- The damage is months or years old. Deadlines do exist and they do expire, and they run from different dates depending on the peril, so the honest answer is that it depends on your dates. Send them to us and we will tell you for free whether there is still time.
What this costs you
The inspection, the policy review and the opinion are free, and they carry no obligation. If you engage us, we work on contingency: a percentage of what we recover on your claim, with nothing payable upfront and nothing owed if we recover nothing. We are a Florida-licensed public adjusting firm (FL DFS License #P151443), and we represent you, never the insurance company.
Submitting this form does not create a contract or an adjusting relationship, and nothing on this page is legal advice. Your policy is the contract, and forms vary by carrier.
